What this policy covers

This policy explains what information Postmarks collects, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. It applies to the Postmarks mobile application available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

What data we collect

Anonymous use — no account required

Postmarks works without an account. You can start walking, collect stamps, and build your journey immediately without providing any personal information. In this mode, your progress is stored locally on your device and backed up under an anonymous identifier.

Optional account creation

You can optionally create an account to securely back up your journey progress and restore it if you reinstall the app or switch devices. Account creation is never required to use Postmarks.

If you choose to create an account, we collect the following depending on your chosen sign-in method:

Email and password sign-in:

• Your email address
• A securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text)

Sign in with Google:

• Your name as provided by your Google account
• Your email address as provided by your Google account
• A Google authentication token

Sign in with Apple:

• Your email address (Apple may provide a private relay address if you choose to hide your real email)
• Your name, if you choose to share it during Apple sign-in
